Important things are missing
I bought almost all your docs - mysql, html, php... -, I did not yet check everything, but for mysql you could at least have explain in details the basic requests, like SELECT or UPDATE, with rich examples with JOIN and UNION. That MySQL Pro doc is not pro... Sorry
Great pocket reference for MySQL
This is a great pocket reference. It has very good short description with examples. I have it in both my iPad and iPhone. Well done. Thx!!
Good pocket reference
Very useful pocket ref. It has brief definition and sample which can remind me what that function is Beside, a dollar is so worth it to me!
Language syntax is missing
This guide has a glaring omission, which will doom it unless the developers read this and talk to someone who actually uses SQL, and quickly: it does not present, much less explain, the syntax of the CREATE and SELECT statements. You get a few simple examples of their use in the Language Syntax section, but they add no value, and even a map of the syntax itself is missing. If youre interested in functions, data type and reserved words, they appear to have you covered, but if youre interested in a GROUP BY or a LEFT JOIN, look elsewhere.
No statement documentation included
This gets two stars because the documentation of expressions and functions is pretty good. There is no documentation about statement syntax, however. If you want to know how to format an INSERT or understand the difference between UPDATE and REPLACE, or specify a LEFT JOIN, you are out of luck. I bought this because I need syntax information for complex SELECT statements and transaction locking. Not a single useful entry. Hopefully future versions will fix this glaring omission.
